The Weasel - Day 12, Week 2

April 18, 2008 (Friday)
I love Friday’s and they don’t get here quick enough. Oh by the way I was shocked to find out that a Wendy’s chicken BLT salad with dressing and croutons is 660 calories. I thought I was being healthy for lunch. Foiled again when I thought I was being healthy. God, how they can pack that many calories in a “healthy” salad is insane.
This Friday W and I are going to go see Pauly Shore at the Improv in Schaumburg. I know what you’re thinking and no, he’s not dead. Pauly shore is alive and kicking. I don’t think I’ve heard anything about him since the late 90’s. W, invited his good friend Dana and her boyfriend Jeremy along. I had never met either or any of W’s friends so I was very curious. I was also nervous to meet them because friend’s opinions count. Also, no matter how secure you like to seem, when you are overweight meeting new people can be a very scary thing.
Dana and Jeremy were great. The seemed like truly nice people. Dana and I discussed what it was like to date younger guys. Her ex that she has a kid with is 2 years younger than her, which is really not big of a difference. W and I are 6 years apart but I really don’t think about our age difference very much. When I do it sometimes bothers me but really age is nothing but a number. Anyway, I would love to hang out with Dana and Jeremy again. They are both very cute together and Dana needs a good man after what her ex did to her (long story).
Pauly was hilarious. He seemed to be high or drunk or both and was acting insane. His jokes weren’t that great but just the stupid stuff he was doing made it funny. At one point he told W he liked his sweater and to stand up. W stood up turned around and flexed a bit. Then Pauly told him he wanted to trade shirts with him. Pauly was wearing a “Pauly for President” t-shirt. W actually too his sweater off and went up to the stage to give it to him. Pauly was like “dude that’s a little gay”. I thought it was so funny. W wasn’t sure if he should be insulted or proud. It was a good 2 hours of fun. There were way to many masturbation jokes for a 40 year old. I was actually glad we had gone to see him. It was worth my $17. Pauly was like,” I was on MTV, I was doing movies and now I’m in fu*cking Schaumburg!” I laughed my ass off at his stupid antics.
The comedy was good but the service sucked. Our server came and got our drinks when we first sat down. Then she never came back. We waited and waited through the 2 opening acts and into the beginning of Pauly Shore’s act. I was pissed. I had only eaten my lunch around 1 and then at 7pm I had ½ a peanut butter sandwich. It was now around 11 and I was so hungry. I could feel my blood sugar begin to drop. I finally had to stop her and ask her to take my order. By this time we were half way through the show. She had to go and ask if they could still make us food. W and I ordered food but Dana and Jeremy just had drinks. They were pissed at the bad service and didn’t want to order food that late into the show. I had planned to get a grilled chicken sandwich with no garlic mayo or cheese and fries. I was starving by the time she took our order so I ordered the Improv burger (double 1/3lb double cheeseburger with garlic mayo) and fries. In my utter state of hunger I could not make myself to stick to my order. I felt like I let myself down a little bit. Although, I didn’t eat the entire burger but I did scarf all my fries.

Total Calories Recommended: 1888
Total Calories Consumed Today: 2302
Difference in total Calories: -414

Exercise: mini 20 minute walk with Rebecca

Thought for the day: I need to stash granola bars or something in my purse incase stuff like this happens again. That way I won’t be starving and I can still make smart and healthy decisions when ordering food.
