Weigh in #2 and Weekend Eats!
Weigh in #2 & Weekend Eats
Another week down in June. I did really good food wise and could
not wait to step on the scale on Sunday morning. I managed to eat within my calories
every day. I went into the weekend smug. I was ready to kick butt during my
Saturday work out and do my healthy meal prep on Sunday. I was so ready! Then
on Saturday I woke up with a sore throat and a runny nose. By the end of the
day I was really bad off. Body aches, cold sweats, coughing, sneezing, headache,
and all around feeling miserable.
At least Saturday morning we got some fun time with Elliana
before I was down for the count.
I was pretty bummed that I was sick. I definitely couldn’t workout and had no energy to meal prep. I felt defeated and ended up eating a lot of bad food on Saturday for dinner. Stress and anxiety always make me turn to food and that’s what I did. I was pretty disappointed in myself.
But you know what? The next day even though I was still
feeling like poop I ate healthy. I got off course for one meal and then I
turned it back around. Definite progress is you ask me. Very proud of that.
Normally I would just give up and go back to my old habits but not this time.
Nope, life keeps putting bumps in the road and I may stumble but I don’t stay
down.
Anywho on to my eats:
Saturday
Breakfast: Dunkin donuts turkey sauce, egg and cheese
sandwich and hash browns. Also had iced coffee with cream (not pictured)
Lunch: 2 eggs, chicken apple sausage with ketchup, pepper jack
cheese stick and 2 corn tortillas.
Total Calories: Didn’t track dinner. By then I had barely enough
energy to move.
Sunday
Breakfast: Hubby took care of the baby so I could sleep in
so no breakfast for me. Hubby is the real MVP.
Lunch: Left over chicken enchiladas again with beans and
bell pepper. Also took some zinc, vitamin C and used a Zicam nasal swab.
Snack: Cucumber with tzatziki sauce that I shared with the baby.
Dinner: Kind granola cereal and half a cup of whole milk. Who knew Kind made cereal? Hubby had picked this up and I had no energy to make dinner so cereal for the win. It was pretty good with almonds and coconut and very filling.
Total Calories: Didn’t track again
Weigh in #2 in June
Starting weight: 215
Last week’s weight: 212.9
Current weight: 212.4 (-0.5)
Total weight loss: -2.6 lbs.
Not the loss I was hoping for, but I will take it. It is
going in the right direction and that’s all that matters. I have 2 weeks left
in June and less than a pound to lose to reach my goal of losing 3.5 lbs this
month. I got this!
Ok, here’s your Monday Motivation:
