Weigh in #4 & Weekend Eats

 I am so glad I was able to get myself together after a week and a half of slacking off and blaming my cold and time of the month. By Wednesday I had gotten back up, dusted myself off and started moving forward again. My sleep had gotten so much better which allowed me to focus on my goals and have the energy physically and mentally to eat healthy and workout. I actually ended up working out for at least 30 minutes on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday. Technically on Sunday we took Ellie to her swim lessons again, so I was in the pool moving for about 30 minutes while lugging an almost 30-pound toddler around. I’d say that’s a workout but I wasn’t wearing my fit bit so I couldn’t track the calories burned (if you can’t track it, it doesn’t count right? No, just me…well, ok.) Weigh in #3 & Mary was on a mission towards failure

 Mary's on a mission is my name and the past week in a half I have failed at that mission. Getting a sinus infection and time of the month (TOM)  at the same time is not conducive to weight loss. I was eating my own weight in crackers and laughing cow cheese wedges and ordering delivery because I was acting like a petulant child and didn’t want the salad I’d prepped for the week for dinner. Work donuts also got the best of me but thank goodness I was able to only eat one. Also, at the start of my TOM I ate way too much ice cream.  I only ate within my calories for about 3 days Out of 10. Noooooo! The bad food and also by ability to crave diet pop with my bad food was causing sleeping issues. I was taking naps and then being up until 3 AM and have to get up at 6. Being so tired put me in such a bad mood and guided me into a really negative head space where I just gave up. Also, being so tired gave me an excuse not to exercise.  Weigh in #2 & Weekend Eats Another week down in June. I did really good food wise and could not wait to step on the scale on Sunday morning. I managed to eat within my calories every day. I went into the weekend smug. I was ready to kick butt during my Saturday work out and do my healthy meal prep on Sunday. I was so ready! Then on Saturday I woke up with a sore throat and a runny nose. By the end of the day I was really bad off. Body aches, cold sweats, coughing, sneezing, headache, and all around feeling miserable. At least Saturday morning we got some fun time with Elliana before I was down for the count. I was pretty bummed that I was sick. I definitely couldn’t workout and had no energy to meal prep. I felt defeated and ended up eating a lot of bad food on Saturday for dinner. Stress and anxiety always make me turn to food and that’s what I did. I was pretty disappointed in myself. Weigh in #1 in June & Weekend Eats

Last week was a little bit of a struggle trying to keep my calories where they need to be. I was making more healthy, nutritious choices but I ended up over my calorie limit more than not and I was wondering what the scale would say on Sunday. I also only exercised 2 days last week instead of my goal of 3. I’m only still struggling with the guilt of not getting that 3 rd workout in but I did manage to walk for 15 minutes after lunch each day. On Saturday I also played outside with Elliana, running trough the sprinklers and her splash pad. So much Fun! She keeps me feeling young for sure. Also, we had some unexpected, cute baby visitors on Saturday.   I found 2 baby mice on out deck. I was freaking out because I have a severe mouse phobia but I couldn’t just let them die out there and I looked around for a nest and couldn’t find out. It was also over 100 degrees on out enclosed deck so I had to put on my big girl panties, my husband’s leather work glove and rescue these 2. ...
