Weigh in #6 & Weekend Eats
I did really, really well this past week. I also worked out for at least 30 minutes 5 out of 7 days. Making the healthy decisions and having the motivation to workout was getting easier and like 2nd nature now. I was on a roll.
On Saturday I woke up feeling crummy and my cough &
sinus pain that I’ve had for a month now had gotten a lot worse. But even
though I felt like poop I continued to eat well, and I did my normal 30-minute
workout I just lowered the intensity.
Miraculously on Sunday I woke up feeling like 90% better. No
more sinus pain, barely any cough and lots of energy. So odd but I will take
it.
On Sunday is Elliana’s swim class and I’m not super happy to
be having to slap on a swimsuit and get in the water with her but it’s for her
so I do it. This particular Sunday she had a substitue swim instructor. Her regular
swim instructor was out and her sub was this incredibly cute young kid, maybe
20 or so. I had never seen Elliana take to someone so fast. She was smiling and
giggling and batting her eyelashes at him. She even blew him a kiss and was giving
him high 5’s. She screamed when the lesson was over and he looked over and said
“Bye, Elliana” and Elliana shrieked “no, no NO!”. Rich is going to have his
hands full later.
When we got home we both took a nap and when she woke up she
was in a super good mood. Rich is like “Yeah, she’s in such a good mood because
she was dreaming about her swim boyfriend.” LOL!
Anywho on to my eats:
Saturday
Breakfast: Made myself a breakfast sandwich with 2 scrambled
eggs, 1 slice of cheese, 2 slices of turkey bacon with mixed greens on a
sandwich thin and split an orange with the munchkin.
Lunch: Wrap with a feta and spinach chicken sausage and lots
of veggies in a low carb wrap and a cup of cherries.
Snack: Apple and 1 tbs peanut butter and a cheese stick
Dinner: This does not look appealing at all but it was
delish. It was some eggplant lasagna I had made earlier in the week and a cup
of broccoli. I had thrown this in the freezer just for a day like today where I
was feeling crummy and didn’t want to actually cook anything but still wanted to eat healthy.
Dessert: I was craving something sweet but was out of calories for the day. Which meant if I wanted to satisfy my sweet tooth then I had to workout to make up the calories. Was it worth it? Totally. After 30 minutes of cardio I enjoyed my coconut yogurt with half a cup of strawberries, 2 tbs almonds and 1 tbs coconut. It hit the spot.
Exercise: 30 minute cardio video on YouTube.
Total Calories: 2056
Calories burned from workout: -287
Sunday
Breakfast: Hubby made chocolate waffles and I added 1 tbs of
keto syrup. I also had an egg, 2 slices of bacon and my coffee with sugar free
vanilla creamer.
Snack: On the way to Elli’s swim lessons I ate crackers,
gouda cheese stick and cherries.
Lunch: Hubby had lunch for us when we returned from swim. He
grilled some burgers and baked some sweet potato fries. I put my burger on a
sandwich thin and added a slice of Colby jack cheese and added ketchup and
mustard. Also added more ketchup to dip my fries in but unfortunately for me Elliana ate most of my ketchup while discreetly sticking her fork in my ketchup when she thought I wasn't looking.
Dinner: Veggie and hummus wrap on a low carb tortilla and kiwi.
Exercise: none, my well-deserved rest day but again lugged around my almost 30 pound toddler for 30 minutes during her swim class.
Total Calories: 1793
Starting weight: 215
Last week’s weight: 208.9
Current weight: 208 (-.9)
Total weight loss: 7 lbs.
Not gonna lie, I was really hoping I would have lost over a pound. I was
right under 1 pound down but hey at least it is going in the right direction.
Ok, here is your Healthy Motivation:
